Polsteam and Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA signed a five-year contract, with an estimated value of 150 million PLN (43m USD)

      According to the contract Polsteam’s vessels will transport basic raw materials (phosphates) for fertilizer production of Zakłady Chemiczne POLICE in the years 2012-2016 with an average of 0,5 million tonnes annualy.

     The five-year agreement is effective from January this year. The phosphates will be provided from the ports in Tunisia and Morocco.

        Contract with Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA is a guarantee of employment Polsteam ships in the important for shipowner business route. The agreement is beneficial for both parties, not only for commercial reasons but also because it is an example of a successful and long-term cooperation between Polish shipowner and Polish provider of cargo. With a large number of ships owned by Polsteam (68 bulkers), the shipping company ensures that execution of the contract will proceed as planned and without any break.

        Polsteam transports the raw materials for Zakłady Chemiczne "Police" practically since the beginning of production of this big chemical factory in the beginning of 70. The last contract of carriage, signed by both companies in June 2006, was in force until the end of 2011.
